Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen exciting announcements from people completing degree programs across my social media, which made me realize I have been remiss in announcing my own news 🗞️
In July 2024, I completed my 🎓Master of Education in Open, Digital, and Distance Education with a Focus on Instructional Design 🎓
I began my master’s program in 2021, and it was nerve-wracking to return to school after such a long time! It was exciting, too, though. I was energized and inspired by my first course, Introduction to Distance Education and Training. Throughout my program, I could see how what I was learning would help me to do what I was truly passionate about: 📈 helping to improve and transform through training in a way that benefits both individuals and the organizations they are a part of.
In 2022, I joined a training agency, where I continued to grow and enhance my instructional design skills.
In 2023, I saved the video below as an inspiration for when I finally finished my program 😆 Jokes aside, I wouldn’t have accomplished this without the support of family, friends, colleagues, and my cat, who stayed up with me on many late nights finishing papers 😺
While I may be (incredibly) biased toward education, if you’re considering a new learning undertaking in 2025, I 💯 recommend you go for it! If you’re currently in the trenches in a program, I’m rooting for you 👍
